Clinical Supervision
Here at Hunter Psychological Services we also provide Clinical Supervision, as Darrin Carter is an AHPRA approved Supervisor. Clinical supervision is the sharing of work practice between clinicians designed to develop and expand competency and skills and promote learning through a greater understanding of the client/therapist relationship.
Clinical supervision relies on a strong interpersonal relationship between supervisor and supervisee. Clinical supervision can be to gain competency as the supervisee undertakes a registration process. However, supervision can also be useful in a clinical capacity being able to reflect on their own practice and be part of a professional development model of maintaining competency and improvement. The main goals of supervision are for the development of professional values and identity, and of clinical competency.
Darrin offers flexible options including face-to-face supervision at our clinic located in Charlestown, or virtual sessions via Teams. Additionally, Darrin can accommodate after-hours appointments to better suit varying schedules.
Please note that, as a registered Psychologist, Darrin is only eligible to act as a secondary supervisor for clinical psychologist registrars.
If you are currently seeking supervision, please contact us to schedule an appointment with Darrin.
